Joe Sullivan

Founder & CEO

As the CEO of Joe Sullivan Security LLC, Joe advises cutting-edge tech startups, does security consulting projects, mentors security leaders, and speaks at conferences to large audiences of business leaders in the US and worldwide.

Joe was the first federal prosecutor based in Silicon Valley dedicated full-time to prosecuting cybercrime and worked on safety and security at eBay and PayPal before becoming the Chief Security Officer at Facebook (2008-2015), Uber (2015-2017), and Cloudflare (2018-2022). Furthermore, Joe has advised companies over the years ranging from AirBnB to DoorDash, and in 2016, he accepted and served an appointment from President Obama to his independent, bipartisan Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity.

In addition to that, Joe is also currently the CEO of Ukraine Friends, a nonprofit organization providing humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine.

Prathiba David Sullivan

co-Founder & advisor

Prathiba brings two decades of experience in technology and currently serves on the Executive team at FiĆ¹tur, a leading climate-tech company. With a foundation as a former software engineer, she gained extensive experience in cybersecurity, holding key positions at companies such as Morgan Stanley, EY, and Dropbox. Prathiba also served in leadership roles, including as COO and as strategic advisor to technology startups on business and go-to-market operations. She holds a Masters in Computer Engineering and a Masters in business degree from Stanford University. She is the founder of GSB Talks and is the co-founder of Female Founders Edge (an initiative dedicated to inspiring and supporting female entrepreneurs).

Kateryna Brandon

communications director

Kateryna works with Joe on the development of both the security consulting business and the humanitarian mission at Ukraine Friends. She has a background in international affairs and public relations. Before joining Joe Sullivan Security LLC, she founded and led a student organization that empowered Ukrainian students to participate in international conferences focused on global peace and security. In her previous roles, she worked at a PR agency, where she helped companies develop tailored communications strategies, and contributed to the Global Inclusion Online Forum, advancing diversity and inclusion in the corporate world. Kateryna has also been actively involved in a non-profit organization, providing critical relief to Ukraine during times of crisis.
