Reshape the Now by Deloitte | Denmark, November 2024

At Deloitte’s “Reshape the Now” conference in Denmark, I had the chance to dive into the realities of digital transformation and the growing role of AI, in a session moderated by Esben Kaufmann, Partner within Cybersecurity and Country Lead of Cybersecurity Practice at Deloitte Denmark. I shared insights from the front lines on how companies today are tackling digital transformation, particularly around AI, where many are now trying to use their internal data to enhance AI models. What’s interesting is that companies that invested early in GDPR compliance have a head start—they’ve already organized their data, which gives them a stronger foundation for AI initiatives.

Over the past two decades, we’ve experienced an extraordinary pace of technological change, from the consumer internet boom to the mobile revolution, and now to a world increasingly driven by AI. This pace is only accelerating, and as it does, security leaders are finding themselves stepping beyond traditional roles, now acting as business leaders who align security strategy with larger company objectives. In my session, I spoke about the real-world risks and opportunities that AI brings. For CISOs and security executives, this means not only managing new threats but leading in a way that responsibly integrates AI into their organization’s framework.

I also discussed the need for balanced AI regulations and how both governments and private sectors have essential roles to play in shaping these frameworks. The session resonated well with the audience in Denmark, where there’s a strong focus on both innovation and sustainability. It was a great opportunity to share how we, as leaders, can thoughtfully approach these advancements—capturing their benefits while staying vigilant about the risks.
