Navigating Cybersecurity Incidents with TCSC in Austin

I had the pleasure of joining Tim Brown, CISO at SolarWinds, for a CISO lunch and panel session in downtown Austin, organized by The Cyber Security Council (TCSC) together with BreachRX. We dove into how CISOs can regain control during security incidents, shared firsthand experiences managing high-stakes cybersecurity events, and discussed best practices for building flexible and transparent incident response programs.

The conversations were dynamic, and the audience’s questions led to valuable insights and thoughtful exchanges. A session that was supposed to last an hour extended to almost two, until we were all asked to clear the room for the next event… It’s always a privilege to be part of these gatherings where security professionals can learn from each other and strengthen our collective approach to navigating an ever-changing threat landscape.
